These sweet-salty bites are filled with rich Beemster XO. A new take on a classic hors d’oeuvre.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230℃). Stuff each date with 1 piece of cheese. Wrap each date in a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

  2. Arrange dates in a greased baking dish and bake until bacon is crispy, 12–15 min., flipping halfway through.

  3. Meanwhile, in a small bowl mix together honey and hot sauce. Remove dates from oven and drizzle with hot honey.

Tip: Don’t like heat? Swap the hot sauce with 1 tsp ground cinnamon for a sweeter take on the recipe.

Pairing: Try serving these party favorites with a cold malty Amber Ale to balance out the sweetness from the dates.
