These sandwiches are true weeknight “heroes”!
Directions
Season the steak with salt and pepper. Add 1 tbsp oil to a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak until desired doneness, 3–5 min. per side. Place on a cutting board to rest and tent with foil.
Wipe out the skillet with a paper towel. Add remaining 1 tbsp oil over medium-high heat. Sauté the onions until golden brown and slightly soft, 5–7 min.
Preheat the broiler to high. Thinly slice the steak against the grain. Divide the steak between the rolls. Top each sandwich with ¼ cup shredded Paradiso Vintage cheese. Place sandwiches on a baking sheet and broil until cheese is melted, 3–5 min.
Remove sandwiches from oven and top with sautéed onions and pickled peppers.

1 lb (450g) skirt steak
2 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, peeled and thinly sliced
4 hoagie rolls, cut in half lengthwise
1 cup (100g) shredded Paradiso Vintage
1 cup (230g) sliced pickled banana peppers, drained
