  1. Spread each slice of bread with 1 tbsp fig spread.  Arrange half of the pear slices on 1 bread slice and top with 1 cup shredded Beemster. Place another bread slice on top and press firmly. Repeat with remaining ingredients to make 2 sandwiches.
  2. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat.  Add sandwiches and cook, covered, 8 min. until golden brown and Beemster is melted, turning once.


  • 4 slices whole-grain panini bread
  • ¼ cup Dalmatia Fig Spread or fig preserves
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded Beemster Lite
  • 2 tbsp butter
